Sorry it’s so late! We had an unexpected death in the family. Things are finally returning to normal though – thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.
Here is the first mp3 for your downloading pleasure. I’ll post soon about the story behind the song. We are open for ideas in the mix, so feel free to weigh in with your suggestions. What should we do to tweak it?
DISCLAIMER: This is an early mix, in fact, the first one – so hang tight, guitar tone is not quite right… vox are too loud, etc. We’re working on it!
Please feel free to pass this along to your friends and family. All mp3’s I upload here will be free to listen and pass along until the album release date. Enjoy!

At the beginning, your voice feels like it sticks out a little too much. Maybe a touch of chorus up through the drum entrance. The vocals are strong bro, great job! The electric guitar feels a little bit awkward where it sits, and I feel like it should lay just underneath the piano so that it pads the song, but isn’t too noticeable. All the backing vocals can drop back a bit, especially the lower harmony near the end.
Some thoughts after a couple listens…

Crap, just read your disclaimer. Sorry to be redundant.

Of course, you know I LOVE this song! I always have and I’ve always loved you singing it. Your voice is perfect. From a background vocalists perspective…there’s a point when you’re singing “all I want, all I need” and there’s a higher harmony behind, but I found my singing along mind really wanted your voice to go to that higher point somehow. I don’t know if that’s even possible, but that’s just where I went in my thoughts. Also, your voice is so raw and cool and sometimes the background vocals seem to soft and…polished maybe? Like they contrast a little too much with yours? Again, I’m not a trained professional or anything, it’s just my head. LOVE the piano. Anything that features you playing the piano is a winner for me.
It’s great. Can’t wait to own a few million copies…or at least a couple.
We love you, Tim!

Hey Tim,
I really, REALLY enjoyed listening to your music. I can’t wait to get the entire album! I think it all sounds great, but I especially like the song ‘Here’. Keep me posted on your projects and shows. I would love to see your band sometime – any plans to play at PVCC again? That would be super cool!
I hope the New Year brings amazing things to you, Sarah, and your band!
Keep rocking,
Anne
